P5
FIRST POSTER DESIGN.
I improved on the image due to the amount of space left in the poster that made it look rather boring.
the main character had too much shadow on his head and his shoulder which overall looked unrealistic and bad. I like the title, but the 'M' in 'mission' is difficult to see from far away.
I made the buildings taller so they would take more room and stand out more. the effect turned out to look really nice and made the poster look less bland.
i then moved the buildings around slightly so they were evenly spaced and didn't get in the way of the main character.
i also added the slogan 'It's Fight or Flight' to take up more of the room in the poster.
i then fixed the hair in the poster, making the shadow lessen and seem more realistic. i also used the burn tool on the areas of the credit block that were too light to see so it darkened them and made then visible for the viewer
Final Poster Design:
The poster went well as it stuck to a simple yet effective colour scheme of dark colours. the font used for the film title matches nicely with the background and looks as if it is meant to be there. the background buildings are ok, I had to draw them myself as I was unable to get any images of buildings that could fit what I was looking for and it wouldn't have given such a good effect.
I don't like the placing of the credit block, I think it kind of gets in the way of the rest of the poster but it is nicely placed in the centre of the poster.
Alex is placed on the side and the lighting on his face fits nicely with the light on the background. Although, the back of his head has been messed up because I tried to remove the light that was outlined around his body, but it does make it look like a shadow is casting over his shoulder.
Over all the image is simple but effective but could be improved with more time.
